Behind the Scenes at Fox Hollow: Offseason Activities and Exciting Plans for 2024

Fox Hollow may be closed for the season but that doesn’t mean we stop working.  What do we do in the winter?  It’s a question everyone wonders about.  There is a constant buzz in my shop working on equipment, grinding, polishing, painting, building, and so much more, but one of the most important things I do is planning.  Reflecting on the past year and planning for next year is a huge part of my off season.  I can’t tell you everything of course because I like surprising loyal golfers with something new and awesome.  I can tell you a few things though.  I am switching up my wetting agent program on greens next year to hopefully provide firmer greens.  What’s a wetting agent?  Stop by my office and I will explain.  Also, next year I want to keep the train rolling with the continuous improvement on the golf course that we have been tackling since I got here 8 years ago.  On top of providing excellent turf conditions, we will be opening up more sight lines and views, trying to highlight the unique and beautiful aspects of Fox we all know and love.  And don’t forget about the details.  It’s such a huge part of what I do, so make sure to take notice of the small details you may see on your next round!
