1. How to Set Up the Simulator
A. Turning on the Server
i. Sometime groups will turn off the server, near the floor on the
lowest shelf. It looks exactly like a computer server. The blue
power light must be illuminated for the simulator to work.
B. Turning on the Projector
i. The white projector above the hitting area should be turned “off”.
Using the white remote near the touch screen; point the remote
at the projector and select the ON button. Once the light turns
green wait a couple minutes until the projector begins working.
ii. Please turn off the projector once finished. Press the STANDBY
button to turn off.
C. Turning on the Lights
i. There is one light switch in each bay. It’s located behind the touch
screen.
ii. This switch illuminates the cameras above the hitting area.
D. Turning on the Touch Screen
i. This screen does not need to be turned off.
ii. If for some reason it is, the power button on the back of the screen
bottom left.
2. How to Set Up the TV
A. TVs
i. All the TVs should be turned on upon arriving. If not, manually
press the red power button on the bottom of the TV.

i. After the TV is turned on, contact a Broadway staff member to
change to a specific channel
3. Wifi

4. Where to Hit From?
A. Hitting Space
i. You’re allowed to hit anywhere on the center mat.
ii. Please be aware of your surroundings when swinging.
5. Where to Putt From?
A. Putting Space
a. For best results putt 1 foot in front of the hitting mat
6. Judging Distances
A. Driver and Woods
i. Driver is extremely accurate and realistic to outside shots
ii. FWY Woods and Hybrids can increase by 5-10 yards if you tend to
put ample height on the ball
B. Irons
i. Short irons are very accurate.
ii. Long irons can jump a little bit if you have high enough swing
speed

i. Very accurate, may even tend to read short sometimes

i. Enter names of players and use the “Add Player” to add additional
players
ii. After you’ve selected course you’re able to choose tees (red, white
blue, black), auto putts, and gimme range (3ft, 6ft, 9ft, 12ft)
iii. Select Okay when finished
C. How to Aim
i. HDGOLF allows you to aim anywhere on the screen and the ball
will go in that direction
ii. If simulator misaligns you and pan feature disable, simply aim
where you want the ball to

D. Pan Feature
i. When enabled (not grayed out on screen) you can change your
align simply by dragging the feature left or right
E. Driving
i. Shots will roll out in the fairway and stop very shortly in bunkers,
long grass and rough
F. Approach Shots
i. Woods and Long irons will run out if land on green, short irons
and wedges will stop quickly
G. Chipping
i. Flop shots and bump and run shots will record accurately in
relation to height and spin
ii. Mishits are also recorded very accurately
H. Putting
i. REMEMBER: Putt 1 foot in front of hitting mat
ii. Greens generally stimp between 10.5 and 11.5 on simulator
(imagine you’re playing a very nice private club)
iii. “PIN ALT” in the upper-right hand corner will tell you if you’re
downhill or uphill
iv. Initial spot to front of the hill is about 10-12 feet
I. Mulligans
i. The #1 most used feature in the game is also the handiest. Use at
your discretion
ii. In Tournament play, please do not use. Only if there is a computer
glitch

10. Tournaments (League and Tournament Play)
A. Signing up for League/Tournament Play
i. You must have created an account at tournaments.hdgolf.com to
be able to register for events
ii. Main Menu

iv. Enter tournament ID (access online at tournaments.hdgolf.com)
v. Under player: enter emailed used at tournaments.hdgolf.com
vi. Ensure handicap is correct if net event
vii. Select Okay when finished and begin play

A. Online HDGolf Database
a. Create a FREE account and get access to live stat tracking, ability
to enter tournaments and league, check live leaderboards for
competitions and tournaments, and much more.
b. You’re also able to play rounds and get great stats tracking driving
distance, driving accuracy, GIR, putting average, birdies, eagles,
etc.

A. Play to track stats
a. Normal play feature doesn’t allow the play to track stats if they’ve
created an online account on tournaments.hdgolf.com.
b. To do so you must enter through the player locker

g. Go through normal set up and select Okay

13. Tip for Better Play
A. These tips are what I’ve found after playing 100+ rounds
a. Swing within yourself and don’t try to crush the ball
b. When putting pretend you are playing on 10.5 – 11.5 stimped
greens (similar to nice private club)
c. Elevation is not taken into effect as much as playing outside
d. Proper contact is more important than swing speed
e. Small hole overview screen on the right shows exactly where
you’re aimed
f. PIN ALT gives elevation change
g. For best results putt 1 foot in front of the hitting mat

A. How long does it take to play 18 holes?
i. 45 minutes – 1 person
ii. 1.5 hours – 2 people
iii. 2.25 hours – 3 people
iv. 3 hours – 4 people
B. Hours of the simulator?
i. 11 AM – 11 PM (Sunday – Saturday) (365/year)
C. How do I pay for my hours?
i. If a Broadway staff member is NOT present you have TWO options
to play.

ii. One, using the POS system next to the mobile kiosk you can select
the correct hours and use the system to pay.
iii. Two, email colton@darkenwaldcorp.com letting him know you
were unable to pay and he will send you a payment link.
D. What are the pricing options?
i. Weekday (Mon – Fri) before 5pm: $30/hour
ii. Weekday (Mon – Fri) after 5pm: $40/hour
iii. Weekend (Sat – Sun): $40/hour
E. What courses can I play?
i. Refer to the Course book provided in the simulator room.

16. Responsibility and Safety
A. Responsibility
a. You are responsible for any damage done to the simulator room.
Please be respectful of your surroundings. You are on camera.
B. Safety
a. Much like a normal golf course please watch out for other people.
17. Troubleshooting Tips

A. Golf Ball won’t respond to shots hit
a. Ensure the lights above the hitting area are turned on. The switch
is behind the touch screen on the wall.
b. Restart the server next to the couch. It’s the bottom server with
the blue light illuminated. Turn it off, then back on again. You will
not lose your spot in the game.
c. If restarting the server doesn’t work, try a software update.
i. Go to setting
ii. Admin in upper right hand corner
iii. Password: admin
iv. Look for software update on the left side
d. If all else fails, call Colton Buege at 612-308-5173
B. All golf balls are broken or bad
a. Talk to a manager on-duty and they will retrieve you more golf
balls.
